Dr. Rituparna De

Dr. Rituparna De is a prolific cataract surgeon and a highly skilled senior clinician with years of expertise in the area of ophthalmology. She is one of the best glaucoma surgeons in Kolkata and nationwide and has completed more than 2000 difficult operations.
Dr. Rituparna De completed her D.O. in ophthalmology at the Medical Research Foundation, Sankara Nethralaya, in Chennai and continued her education by joining the glaucoma fellowship programme under the guidance of outstanding mentors like Dr. L. Vijaya, who has trained exceptional Glaucoma Consultants at the national and international levels.
She was formerly the Consultant of Glaucoma Services at the famous Sankara Nethralaya and is currently a part of the glaucoma team of Spectra Eye Hospital in Kolkata as well as other institutions there.
Dr. Rituparna De personally mentored several fellows in glaucoma throughout her four years of affiliation with Sankara Nethralaya. She has consistently shown a genuine curiosity in sharing her expertise with others. Before joining Spectra Eye Hospital in Madhyamgram and Chinar Park, she was also a part of Disha Eye Hospital in Barrackpore, Kolkata and Sankara Nethralaya, Kolkata.
